IGNORANCE IS ALWAYS BLISS

Wonderful. Thanks to people writing letters to the editor over the
obvious solution to the "illegal drug use." If it is so simple I
wonder why the learned ones haven't thought about doing it sooner?

We can eliminate all the "illegal problems" with the same mentality.
Make it all legal. Legalize bank robbing, murder, rape, pillage, etc.
and, poof, all the problems are solved. Absolutely ingenious.

No thanks. That's the old "hide your head in the sand approach" and
it solves nothing. In fact, it creates a whole new set of problems.

Look at Vancouver and the allowing of extra late openings of bars and
pubs down Granville Street. The argument was that it would make
Vancouver a "fun" place to be. Well, we now know what they meant by
"fun" and all the carnage that it brings.

Solutions are never easy and many are not what people want to see
because it means taking off those rose coloured glasses. Are you
ready for that?
