LACKING JUDGMENT
The first sentence in the otherwise super March 24 editorial on
zero-tolerance laws totally misunderstands the essence of such laws: They
purposely eliminate judgment.
You cannot have zero-tolerance and judgment. If you wish for judgment, the
silly zero-tolerance rules have to go. Unfortunately not a likely thing as
the laws originate from federal encroachment and coercion.
