IS THIS SCHOOL POLICY?

Considering that there are so many plausible explanations for trace
amount of cannabis to be on a jacket, it is impossible to fathom such
draconian measures, never mind attempting to justifying them.

Is it considered "school policy" to deprive the boy of the opportunity
of two days worth of education on dogspeak?

Is it also considered school policy to stigmatize this student as this
Ottawa-Carleton Catholic School Board's ruling has?

So much for rights that supposedly safeguard an individual from this
sort of opprobrious conduct.

And so much for school policy giving him the benefit of
doubt.

When this sort of school policy fails to elicit the sought after
response intended, what will it be next? The yoke or perhaps a
tell-tale letter sewn on the offending garment; perhaps hobbling.
These, too, were once considered appropriate means of societal control.

(The whole thing seems a bit overblown.)
