IS BOY BLOWING SMOKE?
Re: "Police dog's nose final word in pot in school," Journal, March 27.
Is it just me or are Chris Laurin's parents in serious denial?
Although I agree with another one of your loyal and left-wing readers
("Whiff of hypocrisy" Letters, March 31) that the child should not have
been suspended when the evidence was purely circumstantial, it bears
serious investigation by the boy's parents.
The problem here is that the parents do not want to believe that their son
may be involved in something more serious than an odd odour.
My advice to the boy's parents would be to handle this with an open mind,
fight the suspension but take a very close look into the possibility that
your child may be blowing smoke you know where.
