CHANGE POLICY TO END AID TO DRUG-USERS
This concerns students with drug records being given aid.
What a slap in the face! Students are being rewarded with financial aid
from the federal government because of their choice to take drugs. What
about all these students who put every effort possible into being good
students, avoiding drugs and all other choices that can get them into
trouble? Does their reward merit the same as drug-using students?
I say no -- absolutely no -- for drug users and addicts to get federal
financial aid.
Let these students who spend money on drugs be aware that they will not get
aid from federal government. Let them save the money they are spending on
drugs for their education rather than placing a burden on taxpayers and
getting a reward for their bad choices.
