WOMAN'S DEATH HER OWN FAULT
Family and friends of Lacy Trammel who died of a drug overdose in June are
upset that Sara Boroff, 19, of Van Wert, who gave the morphine to Trammel,
was only sentenced to six months in jail.
The loss of a teen-ager is always a hard thing to accept. But the fact
remains that Trammel, an adult at the time of her death, freely chose to
accept and ingest the morphine. Ultimate responsibility for that decision
rests squarely on Trammel's shoulders.
Trammel's family has our condolences for their loss. Boroff, meanwhile,
will have to live the rest of her life with the knowledge that she played a
part in the death of her friend.
