HOUSING EVICTIONS MEAN-SPIRITED
WHEN WE have a system in which rich people decide the fate of poor people,
injustices inevitably follow. Such is the case with the Supreme Court's
decision regarding drug policy and public housing.
The policy they upheld is a totally unfair policy, since it applies only to
poor people who live in public housing, and as such is highly
discriminatory.
I wonder if any family member of any of the justices uses drugs, and I
really would like them to lose their home if that's the case. I really would
like them to get a taste of their own bitter, unjust medicine.
This decision is so utterly mean-spirited there's not even a name for it.
And the fact that it was unanimous makes it even more disturbing. They
should all be ashamed of themselves.
