DRUG TESTS WORTH THE COST
I took extreme exception to the letter headlined "Drug tests in school are
a witch hunt." I would rather have my child (and her classmates) tested for
drugs than not know what is going on in the school.
Paying $17 a test is, if that is indeed the amount, as far as I'm
concerned, a low price to pay for peace of mind. I would also love to see
the teachers and staff be drug tested.
Our schools should be a drug-free zone, and we must do everything to keep
them drug-free! If testing will show who is using drugs, we may find a way
to decrease the amount of drugs available in our schools. Why any parent
(or person) would be opposed to drug-testing students is beyond me.
