BOY, 12, CARRIED DRUGS IN HIS STOMACH

A BOY of 12 was in hospital in New York last night after flying alone
from London to America with 87 heroin-filled condoms in his stomach.

Prince Nnaedozie Umegbolu handed himself over to the police, crying
and saying "All I want to do is see my mom" when leaking heroin
damaged his gut during a late-night taxi ride from Kennedy airport.

Suffering severe stomach pains and bleeding, he confessed to his taxi
driver, admitting that he had already passed 40 of the packages and
showing him a sock bulging with the drug. The cabbie took the boy to
police at La Guardia airport, where he asked to be taken after a
Brooklyn address he gave was found to be false. Police took him to
hospital.

Prince, whose journey began in Nigeria, was born in America and
travelled on a US passport. His father, Chukwunwieke Umegbolu, is in
prison in Virginia for his part in a heroin ring.
