TO POLICE AND DAS: WE'LL MAKE THE LAWS, NOT YOU
It's disgusting to hear that the police and DAs would publicly voice their
opposition to the rationalization and reversal of the insane forfeiture
laws in criminal cases. As far as I'm concerned, they are public servants
acting as public masters. The forfeiture laws were promoted by agencies
that had no right to make public policy.
I was raised as an American with the knowledge that guilt had to be proven
before a penalty could be assessed. The drug war has established a nation
of police actions that flaunt their own criminal activity, from outright
theft to murder, in the face of the very freedoms this country was founded
upon. The explosive rate of drug use in this country can be tied directly
to the bootlickers of the police state.
My advice to the DAs and police is to shut up and do the job you're paid to
do. We will make the laws; not you.
