JUST A NORML POLITICIAN

When New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg thought it would buy him some
votes, he had no problem with marijuana ["Mayor's Pot Quip Turns Up in
Ads," April 9]. Now that he is elected, he firmly believes that people
should be arrested and their lives destroyed for enjoying a little
marijuana. Does he really believe that pot smokers deserve the draconian
punishments meted out these days? Or is he merely without the courage to
speak against the status quo?
