'HE DESPERATELY NEEDS POT'

I'm responding to Keith Fraser's recent article about American medical pot
advocate Steven Kubby's arrest on the Sunshine Coast.

No other patient with adrenal cancer has ever survived as long as this man,
and his success can be attributed to his use of marijuana.

It's cruel not to allow Kubby to access his medicinal pot while in custody.
His life is at serious risk.

It isn't right that a plant God created is illegal in the first place. Have
some compassion. It's only a plant, and this man desperately needs it.

DON'T SEND HIM BACK TO U.S.

As a Canadian, I am upset that medical marijuana refugee Steve Kubby has
been arrested and removed from his family.

Kubby is the longest surviving adrenal cancer patient, who has been using
marijuana to prolong his life.

He does not deserve to be sent back to the U.S., where he faces certain
incarceration. He deserves our support and compassion.

HELP FREE WEED AND OUR CITIZENS

Don't let your government send Steve Kubby back. Give him asylum. Help us
free the weed and our citizens, please.

DO POT ADVOCATES EXPECT SUPPORT?

I had to laugh reading your story of Steve Kubby not being allowed to get
high before being taken to jail. And then the cold-hearted law- enforcement
agents didn't let him bring a few joints for the ride.

If the T.H.C in pot is so beneficial, then why is it not broken down into
pill form and prescribed to those who need it? That would take all the fun
out of it, perhaps?

I'm also curious as to what life-threatening diseases mushrooms and peyote
buttons help cure? Do marijuana advocates really expect support from the
general public?

LEAVE THESE MEN ALONE

Why would this peaceful man be arrested? Canada should show some sense and
leave him alone. If sent back to the U.S., Kubby will die in prison for
growing marijuana. Does the punishment fit the crime? Grant him asylum from
America's puritan national police.
