KEITH MARTIN IS RIGHT
Keith Martin is right. ("Case of contempt," Roy Clancy, April 24.) We
really must question the nature of democracy in Canada. Some 76% of
Canadians no longer believe it is the role of the state to criminalize
their brothers, sons and daughters for smoking pot. As for the ceremonial
mace lifted by Martin as a gesture of disapproval, it would make a fine
asset to the posterior anatomy of the persons responsible for this travesty
of democracy.
