METH IS NOT HARMLESS
I am writing in response to the individual who believes that
methamphetamine doesn't equal death (Letters, April 17). I would like
to think that Stan Strain has spent some time with meth users and
understands the mindset of an addict who has run out of drugs. But I
think he is among those who do not have firsthand knowledge of the
often violent crimes that meth users commit daily.
Try standing by your child's bedside, observing your child with tubes
in every part of her body. A moment later, a young doctor asks if
your daughter's an organ donor. No, your daughter never used drugs.
She was finishing school and was working the cash register the night
someone high on meth needed more money for drugs.
