POT SHOP RAID APPALLS
This whole controversy surrounding the Morro Bay medical cannabis
dispensary is appalling. The raid was on the basis that an employee
was selling medical cannabis to nonpatients. So the state should
arrest him. Compassionate Caregivers has been running as a legitimate
business for some time now. So this just amazes me. In the end, all
they are doing is removing a medical dispensary for patients who have
legally obtained recommendations for the use of medical cannabis.
Compassionate Caregivers states the law clearly, and those who choose
to break it are at their own fault. By closing the club, they are
sending patients to find cannabis on the streets, creating more
marijuana crimes. Whether or not the feds see marijuana as medicine
for some people is a nonissue, this is OUR state law, and I was
disappointed to see local police officers involved in the raid.
Marijuana is NOT dangerous. It has been proved to help with severe
disease or pain.
If Compassionate Caregivers doesn't reopen, I will have to go to
another club far out of my county to obtain the medicine I need. This
is sad.
