D.A.R.E. OFFICERS OPPOSE STATE FUNDING CUTS
As D.A.R.E. officers who serve the schools in the city of Minden, we are
greatly concerned to learn that Gov. Mike Foster has totally eliminated
funding for the D.A.R.E. program statewide. Isn't deleting the funding for
the D.A.R.E. program a step backward in providing our young people with
information they need in order to be able to make informed, responsible,
choices and decisions concerning their future?
The D.A.R.E. program has a proven track record: It succeeds; It works.
Join with us in contacting your legislators and public officals to let them
know that you, too, believe in the DARE program and want them to fully
restore its funding on a permanent basis.
We thank you in advance for your concern and support.
