JUST LOOK AROUND, FOLKS

Re: March 20 editorial "Latest definition of free speech hinges on
wacky teen prank."

The American-Statesman mentions that the incident in Alaska occurred
off school property but failed to mention that it was an organized
school function. The liberals and the American Civil Liberties Union
are fighting for this student, who held up a sign that read "Bong
Hits 4 Jesus."

I wonder what would have happened if his sign would have read
something like "People need Jesus." I'm sure the liberals and the
ACLU would be quick to have that banner torn down and the student
charged with some crime.

And people are still asking what's wrong with today's youths. Just
take a look around; it is not hard to see.
