DRUG AGENT INDICTED IN SHOOTING DEATH
ROANOKE, Va.- A federal drug enforcement agent was indicted Monday in the
shooting death of a man while the agent was off-duty in a restaurant
parking lot.
Timothy Glenn Workman, 31, of McAllen, Texas, was indicted on murder and
firearms charges in the slaying of Keith Edward Bailey, 41, on Feb. 12. The
two were talking to a woman when they clashed and Workman shot Bailey,
police have said.
Workman was in Roanoke investigating a marijuana conspiracy case that
originated in South Texas. He was been on leave with pay from the Drug
Enforcement Administration, state and federal officials have said.
Workman has returned to Texas after posting $100,000 bail.
