EMERY'S ATTACK ON POLICE 'DISGRACEFUL'

I was shocked to open Thursday's paper and see the Marijuana Party and Marc
Emery's candidacy for Vancouver mayor touted in a two-page advertisement.

The information provided by the party was an attempt to discredit Vancouver
Police and, worse than that, it was made by a self-proclaimed "pot head."

The last thing Vancouver needs for mayor is a druggie with a grudge against
police.

Policing is an honourable, proud profession undertaken by brave and
respectable individuals who risk their lives on a daily basis so that the
rest of society can live in as safe an environment as possible.
