COUGH, COUGH

If you're looking to score some pot, avoid government agents. Not because
you'll be busted but because you'll be ripped off.

The state doesn't want you to decide for yourself whether to use this
particular drug, or where to acquire it. You don't know what's good for
you. Health Canada decides who gets medical marijuana and insists on
supplying the weed itself.

Only its first batch, according to news reports, has turned out to be
wildly impure.

How can this be? Every time a grow operation is raided, state agents seize
not only entrepreneurs who've been selectively breeding the finest
marijuana, but also the seeds they use. With these in its clutches, the
government still can't produce a decent crop?

Thank heavens we don't have legal, private marijuana for medical purposes.
Who would look out for the consumer?
