TELL LEGISLATORS TO SAVE D.A.R.E.

Posted on May 9, 2002 As D.A.R.E. officers who serve the schools in the
city of Minden, we are greatly concerned to learn that the govenor, Mike
Foster, has totally eliminated funding for the D.A.R.E. program statewide.
Isn't deleting the funding for the D.A.R.E. program a step backward in
providing our young people with information that they need in order to be
able to make informed, responsible, choices and decisions concerning their
future?

The D.A.R.E. program has a proven track record: it succeeds; it works. Join
with us in contacting your legislators and public officials to let them
know that you, too, believe in the D.A.R.E. program and want them to fully
restore its fuding on a permanent basis.
