LIBERTARIAN CANDIDATE RESPONDS TO COVERAGE
Sigh. Just when I think that the Rocky Mountain News is irrelevent, they
start covering the U.S. Senate race in Colorado. This liberal bastion of
journalistic mindlessness has finally stepped up to the plate, and then
strikes out.
Let's examine the News editorial called "Politics beyond the pale" (May 8).
These folks call me a wild eccentric who turns off people with a capital-L
Libertarian way of thinking. These folks say that anyone who spouts
nonsense of this order is flatly unqualified to serve in any public office.
Is it wildly eccentric to assert that almost everything that is wrong with
this country can be traced back to the treasonous legislators selling out
the American people with unconstitutional laws passed every day?
The Constitution was drawn up by a very wise group of men who wanted to
protect the American people from their own government. By insulting me, the
News insults my supporters, who feel they have a right to be angry with a
government that operates outside of the boundaries of the Constitution.
Democracy is ugly. Democracy mixes the volitility of socialism and fascism
to create a sort of mob rule at the point of a gun. Your gun, America. They
are trying to take away your gun, to make you safe, and them powerful.
The News quotes the Constitution as saying that treason "shall consist only
in levying war against (the United States)." Let's take my Sen.-
Wayne-Allard-is-treasonous-and-should-be-hanged quote and analyze it with
the News' argument.
The federal government made laws against drugs in the '20s and '30s that
were unconstitutional. From that, we have been given the War on Drugs,
which is a war on the American people's rights. Allard supports this
assault on America. Treason for levying war against the American people? I
would say so, and did.
Allard also voted for the USA PATRIOT Act that violates eight of the 10
amendments in the Bill of Rights. Treason. An assault on America.
I am proud to represent the Constitution in my campaign.
