GOVERNMENT HAS BEEN LYING ABOUT MARIJUANA

Kids are smart, way smarter than we give them credit for. And they
learn quickly.

When we see a commercial teaching the "Just Say No to Marijuana"
message, we learn that drugs can be harmful if used improperly. Kids
learn, "What is that, and I wonder how it makes me feel."

When we see a politician, athlete or media star get in some
predicament and go to rehab, we think, "how terrible, I feel sorry for
that person." Kids learn, "If I get caught, all I have to do is say
I'm addicted, and everyone feels sorry for me." This is done out of
ignorance and lying. Not on the kids part, but on the part of adults
that form the way kids think. Kids know their parents have been taught
cannabis is addictive and harmful, and they play on that ignorance.

The FDA, DEA and Health and Human Services department have been lying
for years about cannabis to the public. That ignorance is compounded
with false facts to support the original lie. I regularly write our
legislators in government, and am often incensed by the false
information pumped into our public domain.

An addictive substance produces physical withdrawal symptoms that can
be documented. These include shakes, sweating, nausea, sleeplessness,
restlessness and a myriad of substance specific symptoms as well.
Marijuana users, even long-term chronic users, exhibit none of these
symptoms when their supply is cut off. They may become moody or
grumpy, but I cannot count the times that I've heard someone utter "I
need a cigarette" or "I need a drink." A recent study has shown more
than half of people in rehab for marijuana are sent there by the
courts, and many of the remaining percentage are sent by family members.

You cannot stop marijuana usage with rehab. It is non-addictive.
Several studies on the subject will attest to this. Simply Google
"Marijuana Addiction" for yourself to see literally hundreds of
articles on the subject. Behavior modification, and in the case of
kids, supervision, is the only way to stop unwanted use of marijuana.
