TIME TO PUT THE U.S. MILITARY ON THE BORDERS
To the editor:
According to Congressman Tom Tancredo, last year there were 23 unauthorized
crossings across the U.S. border by Mexican military personnel or law
enforcement officers along the Arizona border that is increasingly
frequented by drug and alien smugglers.
If this great country cannot stop three million illegal immigrants from
crossing the American border each year, or stop tons of cocaine from being
smuggled in, how are we going to stop the Taliban and al- Qaida terrorists
with shoulder-carried surface-to-air missiles, dirty bombs or atomic
suitcase bombs from crossing our borders?
It is time to militarize our borders and coasts or suffer the nuclear
consequences.
