Don't Worry If You Have Nothing To Hide
In DeWayne Wickham's June 11 column in The Times, he calls Attorney
General John Ashcroft's attempt to keep a more thorough check on
foreigners entering our country a dumb idea. A few paragraphs later he
said 1,400 wanted criminals had been arrested as a result of tighter
security measures since Sept. 11.
I think it is a good idea, and I feel about this the same as I do
about local traffic stops checking for proof of insurance and illegal
drugs. If you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to worry about.
