DRUG TREATMENT IS ANSWER TO SEX TRADE PROBLEM
I do not believe the solution to Beckley's illegal sex trade is to
release the prostitutes on bond after they are arrested. They will
continue to solicit sex for cash after they get back on the streets,
after a few hours in jail.
The solution is for the magistrates, prosecutors and judges to make
these drug-addicted women seek drug treatment (in-patient), with so
many months of counseling thereafter.
Also, TRIDENT needs to be more aggressive with the drug dealers. Those
prostitutes might give them their names if the TRIDENT officers put
pressure on them.
