MEDICAL MARIJUANA FACTS
Ted Sali's attempts to marginalize drug reform activists should focus more
on facts rather than his prejudicial views of cannabis consumers. (Letters,
June 17.) The reason the THC "available in tablet form since the 1950's" is
ineffective for some patients is because it contains only THC and not other
active ingredients found in smoked cannabis. Some medical marijuana
patients use the smoked form of the herb in order to alleviate nausea,
which has the unfortunate side effect of causing any tablets to be vomited
up: a common condition. I also nearly succumbed to when I noticed Sali's
ignorance on the matter.
