HARM REDUCTION USELESS
Boris DeWiel has captured the insanity of "harm reduction" in his
well-worded essay.
I am a volunteer with a society that will build a treatment centre for the
victims of harm reduction and the soft approach B.C. has toward drug users.
Our centre will use abstinence and the principles of Alcoholics Anonymous
and Narcotics Anonymous to guide young addicts to recovery. The so-called
harm reduction model is useless and only serves to enable users to continue
to live in their addiction with precious little hope for recovery. Drugs
need to be illegal. Drug users need more treatment to get off drugs, not
more ways to use them.
Money needs to be spent on abstinence and sobriety programs, not harm
reduction.
