DARE TEACHES VALUES, CONFIDENCE

I just finished the fifth-grade DARE program at Collier Elementary, and I
am prepared to enter middle school and say no to any drug or alcohol offers.

My DARE officer taught us many ways to say no, like giving a reason or an
excuse, walking away, changing the subject, avoiding the situation and
strength in numbers.

As a DARE graduate, I highly recommend the DARE program to all kids who are
entering middle school. The program has given me wisdom and knowledge to
say no to these mind-altering substances.

I learned that the definition of a drug is any substance other than food
that can affect the way your mind and body works. Drugs and alcohol. I can
live without them.
