PLEA FOR CONSISTENCY
Re: "Serious about drugs," Editorial, June 29.
I would like to respond to your thoughtful editorial.
In a drug transaction, there is a willing buyer and willing seller. If we
are to punish people for selling dangerous products, why not give life
without parole for sellers of tobacco?
The annual worldwide kill ratio for tobacco versus marijuana is greater
than 3.5 million to zero. And how about the sellers of unhealthy foods?
Surely, the fry cooks at the local greasy spoon should get at least 20
years for selling french fries or cheeseburgers.
