STUDENTS SHOULD NOT BE MADE TO TAKE DRUG TESTS
The Supreme Court put high school students on notice that if students want
to be in extracurricular activities, they may be required to take drug tests.
I don't think that students should have to take drug tests at all. This
includes playing sports. What we do in our off time is our own business and
nobody else should know about it.
The government feels it is preventing, deterring and detecting drug use by
doing this testing, but consumers can go to any store and buy pills or
liquid to clean their systems out.
If drug testing becomes a reality, the student can give the answer he wants
them to have. Plus, drug testing is a waste of money, and that is something
Louisiana doesn't have.
