POSTPONEMENT GRANTED FOR JUDGE'S COURT DATE
PROVO - Utah attorneys handling the case of a judge arrested for
investigation of drug possession say they are not ready for a scheduled
court appearance Monday.
The criminal division of the Utah Attorney General's Office said drugs
allegedly found at 4th District Judge Ray M. Harding Jr.'s home have been
sent to the lab for testing.
Paul Murphy, spokesman for the Utah Attorney General's Office, said
attorneys want more time to prepare the case.
"They are still going over the evidence, and they want to be prepared" when
they appear in court, Murphy said.
Prosecutors asked for the postponement, and it was granted by the judge on
Wednesday.
A date for the first court appearance has not been set.
