OPPOSE VIEW OF KHAT

Re "Khat decision odd," Letters, July 13.

I firmly disagree with the views of the letter writer, who is also named
Dale Greer. With only two Dale Greers in the metroplex, it is important
that I'm not confused with the letter writer's views concerning the drug
khat. I am Dr. Dale W. Greer, a dentist in Dallas for 25 years. While I
have no direct opinion of the drug, I do believe that the Drug Enforcement
Agency, which classified khat an illegal drug, makes carefully thought-out
decisions and is protecting us from potential dangers in the marketplace
and on the street.
