STUDENTS SHOULD STAND UP FOR THEIR RIGHTS, NOT IGNORE THEM
Your editorial, "Keep kids safe: Drug tests are another tool," (Foster's
Daily Democrat, July 7) ignores the salient point that we are currently
engaged in a war against terrorism. A war to defend "American Values."
The Bill of Rights are, for all intents and purposes, America's 10
Commandments of Freedom - the bedrock of America's value system. At this
critical time in our history, we should be encouraging our children to
stand up for their rights - not surrender them.
