EXTREMELY INVASIVE
Re: the June 28 article "School drug tests OK'd for activities."
Does anyone realize just how invasive drug testing is? To provide an
accurate test, the person must be directly observed while providing the sample.
Otherwise, it is possible to adulterate it.
This means forcing high school kids to expose themselves to adults on a
regular basis.
I am an inmate in a federal prison, and I find it extremely humiliating and
dehumanizing.
I can't imagine what it would be like for a high-schooler. High school is
not the easiest time in a kid's life to begin with.
With all the flap over pedophile priests, is this really what we ought to
be doing - teaching kids to drop their pants and expose themselves anytime
an adult with a plastic bottle orders them to?
