D.A.R.E. CYCLIST ARRIVES IN OLDS

Nychole Bereznicki Stan Wawzonek, who is cycling across Canada to raise
awareness for the Drug Abuse Resistance Program Education (D.A.R.E.)
programs stopped in Olds on Thursday July 18th to talk to D.A.R.E. officers
before he cycled onto Calgary.

Wawzonek, a 60-year-old grandfather from Brantford Ont, started his journey
in St. John Newfoundland on April 30th with one goal in mind, to increase
awareness for a program he believes is crucial for the youth in Canada.
iKids are our future,i said Wawzonek.

The D.A.R.E. program will be up and running in Olds this fall. The program
is taught over a 17 week period to grade six students who have undertaken
special training.
