MUPPETS AND HIV
I was disappointed to see the July 21 letter from Thomas G. Adams regarding
the HIV-positive Muppet on "Sesame Street" in South Africa. He believes
this will be a fine educational tool for our children.
Why is it necessary to teach children the horrible results of risky sexual
behavior and the sharing of needles by drug abusers. Society has shortened
childhood enough. Children should be able to maintain their innocence as
long as possible.
Let's work on changing the behavior of at-risk people to this entirely
preventable disease.
