OUT OF TOUCH

ROY CLANCY must be very happy he can quote whichever portion of a report
that he likes to further his own prohibitionist agenda. ("Don't let pot in
out of the cold" July 21.) Can Clancy tell us it is okay for a person's
life to be ruined, their prospects for travel and employment limited,
because they decided to try a less harmful alternative to alcohol?

Clancy is kidding himself that cannabis use is not wanted by society. How
else would he explain survey results indicating that up to 50% of the
population has tried cannabis? He is sadly out of touch and incredibly
arrogant.
