CIVIC POT PLATFORM?
Abbotsford's Marijuana Party will be giving the public a 'joint' reason to
vote for it during the November civic election.
Local pro-marijuana activist Tim Felger confirmed this week that the party
will put forward a mayoral candidate to challenge incumbent George Ferguson
at the polls on Nov. 16.
Felger said an Aug. 23 deadline has been set for candidates to forward
their names.
The party's candidate will be selected then.
Felger said he may even run for mayor himself.
'I will stand if nobody else does,' he said.
'I can guarantee it will be me or someone better than me.'
