ROUNDING UP POT HEADS ON FERRIES WITH DRUG-SNIFFING CANINES
It's a crock that the cops are cruising the ferries looking for people
transporting drugs. Do it on either side. Don't do it on the boats.
Mitchell Smyth, North Vancouver
The government just needs to get off its butt and legalize the stuff.
William James, Langley
The police should not be allowed to be on the ferries searching for
marijuana. One study suggests 50 per cent of Canadians smoke pot.
What's the point of being on the ferry searching for a quarter ounce on
this guy and a half ounce on that guy? There's no point. Even if they bust
every grow-op in the Lower Mainland, there will be twice as many in three
months. Go and bust some real criminals.
