MARIJUANA HAS VALID THERAPEUTIC VALUE

I am replying to an editorial that ran on July 26 by Darlene Hanke, a Fond
du lac County public health nurse.

Ms. Hanke is out of touch with the science of Medical Marijuana, from
migraines to chronic pain, MS, glaucoma and AIDS, cannabis has been found
to have therapeutic value.

As a public health nurse, she should belong to two organizations - The
Wisconsin Nurses Association and the Wisconsin Public Health Association -
that both support the medicinal use of cannabis. I believe anyone who can
deny the sick or dying medicine that can relieve any ill symptoms is not
very compassionate, and I would hope not to have her as my or any of my
loved ones' nurse.
