BCPO WAGES WAR AGAINST CUADRA MEN

The Bacolod City Police Office has declared an all-out-war on the Kim Cuadra
Group that is listed among the 27 drug syndicates in the country by the
Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.

Senior Supt. Carlito Españo, acting director of the BCPO, said he will
coordinate with the PRO6 in Iloilo City, Negros Occidental Provincial Police
Office and the PDEA to speed up the arrest of group that is reportedly led
by Jose Kim Cuadra, alias Boy Cuadra, of Bacolod City.

Insp. Clarence Dongail of the Drug Enforcement Unit said they had declared
an all-out-war on Cuadra ever since he was reported to be engaged in the
trade.

Dongail vowed to arrest all persons linked to the alleged big time drug
pusher.

He said Cuadra and his group are not "untouchable" drug personalities.
Actually, we were able to arrest in June some of his members, like Amador
Chavez and Gilbert Gayatao, alias Bruce Lee, among others, Dongail added.

We really wanted to arrest Boy Cuadra and put him in jail, but he is so
slick, he said. He is not involved in the handling of drugs, he is just a
financier and he is using his group as couriers and overseers, who are now
noted in the 13 personalities of BCPO watchlist.

Cuadra had earlier claimed that he is not engaged in the drug-related
business. The PDA listed the Cuadra group in its order of battle as among
those being targetted for neutralization.
