SOUTH OF SOCORRO
Gov. Gary Johnson has done it again. He has appointed 20 people to a
statewide Drug Enforcement Advisory Council and if a single one of them is
from southern New Mexico, we don't recognize the name.
The list includes law enforcers, lawyers, social workers, even the New
Mexico National Guard, but no one from here. Does that mean we do not have
a drug enforcement problem or are we not competent to advise the governor
on drug abuse? Or does it mean this governor, now concluding his eighth
year in office has not yet discovered what lies south of Socorro?
