HOLE IN HOLY SMOKE WINDOW

The founder of the Holy Smoke Healing Centre says he's still trying to
figure out how someone managed to launch a huge chunk of cement
through the front office window on Princess Avenue earlier this week.

"I'm glad no one was in here when it happened. I stopped working
nights," he explains, showing where the impact of the square-shaped
projectile hit the far wall inside the corner office, spraying bits of
glass and gyprock all over the room.

A witness called police after hearing the smashing glass at about 1:30
a.m. Tuesday morning. A large suspect was seen jumping into a
dark-coloured, late model car, possibly a Trans Am, and speeding off
southbound on Young Road.

"This does not seem to be a random act of vandalism. It's more like a
warning against helping sick and dying people get access to marijuana.
It seems they want us to crawl away and die. But we're doing
everything by the book here."

He spent most of Tuesday waiting for the window pane to be replaced
and for a new security system to be installed.

"I don't have a long time to do this and I'm a very short schedule
now," he says referring to his terminal heart condition, in addition
to glaucoma. "It sure took the wind out of my sails for the day."

The cement smashed a window display, labelled 'Chuck Strahl's Pane of
Shame' featuring the MP's photo. It documents Mr. Carlisle's struggle
to get Mr. Strahl to help him obtain a medical exemption from
prosecution for possessing or growing his own bud.

"The war against the sick has to stop. Medical marijuana should be
made available in a pharmacy like other meds. People shouldn't have to
go through this suffering needlessly day after day," he says.
