SHAME ON MCLELLAN

The dis-Honourable Anne McLellan is typical of a politician. When the
Ontario Court of Appeal in the Parker case gave the government one year to
change the laws to allow for the use of cannabis as medicine, the Justice
Department did not fight the ruling. Who was the minister of justice at the
time? McLellan was and she knows there are no cases (about using marijuana)
before the Superior Court of Canada at the present time.

I am a federal exemptee to use cannabis to eradicate my multiple seizures
and the severe chronic nerve pain that I have as a result of two brain
surgeries that were supposed to eliminate the seizures. Now McLellan would
rather see us take pills that don't help my seizures instead of smoking
marijuana until a 10-year study concludes that what we are saying is the truth.

There are a great many doctors who have already seen the benefits of
cannabis over the use of pharmaceuticals, which have greater side effects.
Pharmaceutical companies are all in a race to be the first to make a pill
from the properties of the 340 different canaboids contained in cannabis
that, in combination, can work wonders.

So while the sick, who have won the right to use cannabis, are put in
further danger of not being able to obtain their medicine, McLellan worries
about the dangers of tobacco smoke.
