ALTUS MUNICIPAL JUDGE ARRESTED

An Altus municipal judge and an Altus city employee have been arrested in a
drug raid.

David Thomas, 49, and Patricia Webster, 44, were arrested in a Lawton home
where more than 20 grams of crack cocaine were confiscated, police said.
Its street value was estimated at $4,000.

Thomas and Webster were in the Lawton city jail Sunday on drug complaints.
Bail had not been set.

Charges were expected to be filed Monday. Police say the charges may be
enhanced because the arrest occurred near an elementary school.

Police also arrested a man who lived at the house where Thomas and Webster
were arrested. Norris Hill, 52, faces a complaint of trafficking cocaine.

Officers say they served a warrant Friday after receiving an anonymous tip.

Thomas is a practicing lawyer in Altus and serves as a special judge in
some municipal court cases. He is also a former assistant district attorney.
