AWARENESS EVENT HAS LOW ATTENDANCE
Dear editor,
I was very disappointed that more people didn't attend Steve Walton's
Street Drug Awareness presentation, April 5 at The Bert Church
Theatre. It was a no charge event, but cost our committee $450 for
the rental and $500 for the presenter.
Our committee wanted to bring knowledge to the community, but only 50
people took advantage of the opportunity.
To those who attended, thank you. I hope you took home some good
information. A event like this is about raising the awareness of the
drug problems in our community.
To those who don't believe there is a problem in Airdrie - you are
sadly mistaken. Ask your kids, because chances are that they know
more about it than you do.
