POT PROMOTER BUORS BUSTED AFTER BREAK-IN
Broken Into, Then Busted.
Local marijuana activist Chris Buors is facing drug charges after a
neighbour called the police when she heard him being robbed.
Buors said he heard a couple of kicks at his back door around 3 a.m.
yesterday, and three masked men met him when he went to check things out.
The men ordered him to the floor, rifled through his pockets and stole
about $400 and some stereo equipment.
A neighbour called police, who say they found a small growing operation in
Buors' house.
Buors, head of the Manitoba Compassion Club, claims he supplies the weed
only to people with medical problems. He faces charges of cultivation and
trafficking and is slated to appear in court in October.
