DRUG-TESTING
It is the responsibility of every authority to protect the innocent. Every
teacher, principal, school administrator and school board has an obligation
to ensure that no child ever comes in contact with any illegal drugs. When
we entrust our children to a school system, it becomes the school's
responsibility, even its duty, to ensure that our children are safe from
any harm.
When a rotten apple is in a bushel, it does not take long before the entire
bushel becomes rotten. If drug-testing every student is the only way to
find the rotten apple, then a school system which does not do this is not
truly concerned about protecting the innocent.
When we become serious about the illegal drug problem in our society then,
and only then, will our children be safe from harm.
