POT ADVOCATES WILL NEVER LEARN LESSON
As I read the letter Police officer errs on several counts (SP Aug.
21) from our old buddy Ken Sailor, I couldn't help but wonder why
someone, with such an interest in poisoning himself, would continue to
support such a cause.
Sailor always comes up with studies showing all the prejudice and
misinformation about marijuana, and how well places such as Amsterdam
have benefited from a more enlightened attitude.
Good for Amsterdam, if people there feel it has become a better place
to live or to visit.
By the way, Amsterdam also allows euthanasia and legal exploitation of
women (prostitution). Sure doesn't sound like a great standard of
living to me.
Sailor once again fails to mention what good legalizing marijuana
would do for the majority of people (who, by the way, do not smoke
pot). Legalizing marijuana (by taxing it) would only help line the
pockets of the government, and do absolutely nothing to help teach the
brainless people who insist on poisoning themselves.
Now, whether these people choose to ingest, inject or inhale whatever
the drug may be, the result is always the same -- they get high. Period.
We don't need new drug laws; what we need is the proper education
system to teach people of the dangers of all drugs.
Guys like Sailor will always be there to bellyache about their
precious rights. Well, what about our right to live drug-free? We
would have a lot fewer problems without all this garbage.
